C500-FS
Series C500-FS Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly Backflow Preventer blocks the reverse flow of fire protection system substances being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply. Series C500-FS incorporates a meter to detect ground leaks and unauthorized illegal taps, greatly reducing annual water expenses, and consists of a compact, stainless steel body with stainless steel internal parts, two check valves, a pressure-differential relief valve, shutoff valves, torsion spring checks and relief valve, and bronze, nickel-plated test cocks. Series C500-FS is 70% lighter than traditional designs, ideal for health hazard cross-connections such as on fire sprinkler systems, and configurable for N- or Z-pattern installation. Check with local water authorities for installation requirements. Maximum Working Pressure: 175 psi (12.06 bar).
This series features an integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® Technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. Activated through an add-on connection kit, the sensor can trigger the alert system sending notification of flood detection to facility personnel. Connection kits are available for BMS and cellular communication.
